deputy in Congress IU, Gaspar Llamazares, today criticized the executive to "circumvent" pronounced "clear" on the Islamic headscarf in schools in a written reply that the Government has referred to this game.

In a statement, Deputy UI regrets that, ten months after asking this question, the Government clarify its position on the Islamic headscarf.
Llamazares referred this matter to the Executive in May 2010 following the dismissal of Deputy Director General for Coordination and Promotion of Religious Liberty, Juan Ferreiro.
Ferreiro had prepared a report which supported the Islamic headscarf in schools, although the Ministry of Justice said then that that was not the reason for his dismissal, which was due to a "loss of confidence."
